INFORMATION: The Nice Jetty-Promenade is an old building, built on stilts on the sea facing the public garden in 1882 and demolished in 1944. It was intended for recreational and tourist purposes to satisfy tourists, particularly English ones, who flocked to the Côte d'Azur. The Nice jetty was largely inspired by the Royal Suspension Chain Pier, the pier in Brighton.
