Hans-Ulrich Ernst, known as Jimmy Ernst, was Peggy Guggenheim's assistant and an American painter. Encouraged by his father, Max Ernst, he devoted himself to abstract painting. Inspired by famous artists such as Dali, Giacometti, Miro, and Man Ray, he became a member of the New York School.
