INFORMATION: This engraving is part of the series "The Songs of Maldoror." The copperplate engravings were made by Dali in 1934, but only half of the edition was completed (Skira edition).
In 1974, the second half of the edition was published by Pierre Argillet / Grafik Europa from the original matrices reworked by Dali and all the plates were signed by Dali, under bailiff's supervision.
This is one of the artist's rarest and most sought-after series, featuring the earliest prints made by Dali.
The engraving will be accompanied by a photocopy of the proof of the print run attesting to its origin.
