The leaflet bears the publisher's stamp and the lithograph is also authenticated by the dry stamp of the publisher, L'Imprimerie Chaix.
The first edition was created in 1897 for the English novel "Prayer of the Golden Virgin" by Richard le Gallienne.
The lithograph was published by Les Maîtres de l'Affiche in the Chaix printing house in 1897. It was part of this eponymous portfolio (plate no. 128) which represented reproductions of the most beautiful
illustrated posters by the great artists of the time.
