INFORMATION: Published for the magazine Verve n°37-38 "Drawings for the Bible", featuring the drawings that Marc Chagall executed in 1958 and 1959 on biblical themes that he had not yet explored.
Hagar in the desert: Hagar, Egyptian servant of Sarah, Abraham's wife. Sterile Sarah will give her servant to Abraham to have a child. From this union will be born Ishmael.
