The leaflet bears the publisher's stamp and the lithograph is also authenticated by the dry stamp of the publisher, L'Imprimerie Chaix.
The first edition was created in Boston in 1895 for the Exhibition of the "Society of Watercolor Painters of Holland"
The lithograph was published by Les Maîtres de l'Affiche in the Chaix printing house in 1897. It was part of this eponymous portfolio (plate no. 112) which represented the reproductions of the most
beautiful illustrated posters by the great artists of the time.
